Overview

Located in the vibrant heart of Poblacion District, Davao City, Cha Tuk Chak - Juan Luna offers a unique café experience that blends Thai-inspired beverages with local flavors. This cozy spot is perfect for milk tea enthusiasts and those seeking a refreshing escape from the everyday hustle.

The café’s signature menu items emphasize cheesecake milk teas—a delightful fusion of creamy cheesecake and rich tea bases. Standouts include the Titan Cheesecake Milk Tea, which balances the smoothness of premium cheesecake with chewy black and honey pearls, creating an enjoyable textural contrast. For those craving something more indulgent, the Oreo and Choco Ichigo variants introduce playful layers of chocolate and fruit, redefining traditional milk tea into a luscious dessert-drink hybrid.

Aside from these, Cha Tuk Chak’s Thai Classic and Milk Tea offerings present authentic flavors of Thailand, with refreshing lemonade twists that invigorate the palate. The Ctc X Ovaltine, topped with cheese salt, delivers a comforting, nostalgic taste elevated by a modern salinity that complements the rich maltiness.

The café’s intimate ambiance invites both casual visitors and devoted milk tea lovers to linger and savor their drinks in a space that’s both welcoming and stylish. Its location on J. Luna Street makes it accessible for locals and tourists exploring the culinary scene of Davao City.

This is a perfect place for milktea lovers like me and my friends. The place is small, but very instagrammable, aesthetic, and comfortable to the eyes. When it comes to their main product which is milktea, I've been here in this establishment twice so I've already tried more than one drink. I believe they are the leading Thai Tea brand in the country and I like how they have a variety of flavors to choose from. They also have a small tv which features Thai-pop MV's and everything else related to Thai culture which I found really cute. Staff workers are also very approachable here. One of the best milktea places in Davao. I'll come back again, for sure.

Masarap ang drinks nila especially the biscoff drink. Not too sweet, not an enemy of my throat. Basta sarap , very accessible din ang lugar, it’s just along the highway with provision for parking. Wala nga lang table sa loob, you just have to sit on a long chair but I think the chair is more for those waiting.

The matcha at this establishment is fairly enjoyable, although it leans a bit more towards the sweet side when compared to other local options. The shop itself is moderately sized and tends to attract a predominantly student clientele, likely due to its strategic location tucked behind a major university within the town. What particularly stands out about this milk tea shop is the presence of a welcoming bar counter, which I personally find to be a nice touch. This feature adds a sense of engagement and interaction, making it a comfortable place to enjoy your favorite drinks while observing the preparation process. There's so much to love about this place honestly. I find the design of this place very lovely [so instagrammable]. However, I feel like the beverage tastes basic and mediocre. I find the establishment small too and always occupied. I don't think it would make an ideal study place [well maybe only during hours when they're empty]. Nonetheless, I would still recommend this place if you have nowhere to go during breaks.
